Assignment 3

My brother is an entrepreneur though I haven’t thought about that until recently. He is a plumber in the Orlando area. I do not know the story of how he started his venture unfortunately, but I have seen him grow both financially and personally from his achievements. I am very proud of him and he is very happy and grateful of his situation in life. He posts pictures and quotes on social media about hard work, success, and the like. He has taught me a lot and I look up to him for his work ethic. I hope that he continues to grow and succeed, who knows, maybe he’ll actually get more work from the effects of Hurricane Dorian. Speaking of which, I hope everyone and their families stayed safe!

I am enrolled in ENT3003 because it is a required course in my program, it also seemed like a good course to pair to my Business Finance class this semester. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I do not see myself as someone who would create a business, but I am enjoying the lectures and assignments thoroughly thus far!

  1. Hey Angel, thanks for sharing! It’s so cool that your brother is an entrepreneur, and it’s great to hear he’s succeeding. I like that he posts inspirational pictures and quotes – assuming they are words and phrases that he works/lives by. Definitely a good role model to have. I wish him all the best in the future! Also, good luck with Business Finance – that’s a tough one!

  2. Hi Angel, I also am enrolled in this class because it is required for my major. Your brother sounds like a stand up guy who works hard for an honest living, we should all try to be more like him. Hopefully he has continued success into the future and lives a long, happy life. Maybe this class will teach you a thing or two that you can show him!

  3. Hello Angel, your brother’s story sound very similar to mine. I did not know that my grandfather was an entrepreneur until I found out the true meaning of this word. I honestly believe that we do not give enough credit to people that start and have their own business and how hard they had to work to be where they are at. I also live in the Orlando area and if I ever need a plumber you will be hearing from me.

  4. Hi Angel,

That's really cool that you have a true entrepreneur in your immediate family. You must be able to learn so much from him that you can use in your everyday life as well as in a business capacity. I am similar to you in that I took this class both because it was required and also because it seemed like a valuable class to pair with other courses I'm taking.
